O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to pay interest on the belated payment of gratuity to the petitioner from 30.11.2007 to 18.10.2021 as per the provisions of Tamil Nadu Pension Rules and the relevant Circulars within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2.Heard Mr.R.Rajarajan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.S.Ravichandran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3.When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the 2/4

2nd respondent has already forwarded the proposals for payment of interest to the petitioner towards the belated payment of gratuity. The relevant communication received from the 2nd respondent was also placed before this Court.

4.In the light of the above development, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to pay the interest amount that has been duly calculated, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
