O R D E R
This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to expedite the investigation and complete the same, more preferably, within a period of six months in Crime No.9 of 2017 pending on the file of the respondent.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent-State.
3. Today, Mrs.Divya Karthik, W19, All Women Police Station, Adyar, Chennai, is present before this Court.
4. On the complaint lodged by the petitioner, the respondent police have registered a case in Crime No.9 of 2017 on 06.10.2017 for the offences under Sections 498-A, 406, 506(i) https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
and 294-B IPC and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002, against Karthikheyan (A1), Rama (A2) and D.Raghavan (A3). While so, the petitioner has filed the present petition with the above prayer.
5. Taking into consideration, the nature of the allegations in the FIR, this Court directs the respondent police to complete the investigation in Crime No.9 of 2017 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, under due intimation to the de facto complainant, provided, there is no any other legal impediment.
