The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondents police for alleged offences punishable under Sections 66(C) and 66(D) of the Information Technology Act and under Section 419 and 420 of Indian Penal Code in Cr.No.192 of 2022 on the file of the first respondent police seeks anticipatory bail.

The case of the prosecution is that the defacto complainant is the Central Project Co-ordinator at Jharkhand High Court, Ranji lodged a complaint before the first respondent police alleging that the petitioner has cheated the defacto complainant by having the picture of Hon'ble Chief Justice of Jharkand High Court as his watsapp profile and instructed him to buy gift cards each of 10,000/-. While verifying the same, the defacto complainant found that the mobile number though which the defacto complainant received messages, was registered in some other name. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that a false complaint has been given against the petitioner and he has nothing to do with the said allegations. He would further submit that Interstate Anticipatory bail may be granted to him to enable him to move to the appropriate jurisdictional Court in Jharkhand for necessary relief.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to grant inter-state interim anticipatory bail to the petitioner for a period of six weeks from today to enable them to move to the concerned Court.

Accordingly, interim interstate anticipatory bail is granted to the petitioner for a period of six weeks, on condition that the petitioner shall surrender before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.1, Pollachi within a period of fifteen days from the date on which the order copy made ready and the petitioner shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the said learned Magistrate. Further, within 2/4

four weeks from the date of execution of bail bond, the petitioner shall approach the competent Court in Jharkhand and seek appropriate relief.

6. In view of the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
