Heard M/s.S.T.P.Kuilmozhi, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Dig Vijay Pandian, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepting notice for respondents. With the consent of the learned counsel on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

The prayer in the Writ Petition is for issuance of a writ of mandamus, to direct the first respondent to consider his representation, dated 25.07.2016 within the time, that may be stipulated by this Court.

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition, based on the paper news, which appeared in Tamil Daily, "Dinakaran", stating that, in Thirukkovilur Taluk, Village Assistants are to be recruited.

Though the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that, it is only news item available, and there is no notification etc., this Court is not inclined to accept the said submission, as no recruitment to a Government post could be made, without following procedure. Therefore, if the second respondent resorts to any recruitment for the post of Village Assistant, it goes without saying that the same has to be done in accordance with law.

With the above observation, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
