ORDER

This petition has been filed to to direct the respondent not to harass the petitioner.

2. A civil dispute is pending between the petitioner and one Venkatachalapathy. The said Venkatachalapathy made a complaint and the second respondent Police called the petitioner for enquiry. Hence, the petitioner has filed this petition.

3. The Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the said Venkatachalapathy lodged a complaint in C.No.263/DSP/ALGCC/2021 dated 07.08.2021 and hence, the petitioner was called for enquiry through a notice dated 22.09.2021. The petitioner after receiving the notice issued by the Police, failed to respond to the same. On the other hand terming it as harassment, has filed this petition.

4. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he sent a reply on 29.09.2021 stating that there is a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

civil suit pending between them in OS.Nos.75 and 116 of 2021 before the District Magistrate Court, Thiruvallur. He further submitted that prior to it, he had submitted a copy of the plaint and other documents in support of his contention.

5. At this stage, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that no such documents have been received.

6. In view of the same, the petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent Police on 01.12.2021 along with relevant documents and the respondent police shall proceed in accordance with law.

7. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
