Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records in connection with the order of detention SC No.5/2016, dated 27.01.2016 passed by the 2nd respondent and to quash the same and also to direct the detenue namely Kuppi, Female, aged about 55 years, W/o.Kasi, now kept in Special Prison for Women at Vellore, to be produced before this Hon`ble Court and set at liberty. [Order of the Court was made by G.CHOCKALINGAM, J.] The petitioner, who is the husband of the detenue, Kuppi, W/o.Kasi, aged 55 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 27.01.2016 against his wife branding her as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982].

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent as against the wife of the petitioner dated 27.01.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.1078, dated 10.03.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
