By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.Mr.S.Kamadevan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has filed this writ petitioner challenging the reversion order passed by the Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies stating that the petitioner 1/3

was promoted from the post of Office Assistant.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the said order was passed on the ground that the petitioner's appointment was not approved by the competent authority and he was appointed contrary to the Government Order and also contrary to the cadre strength.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the very same aspect was considered by the then Special Officer and he was appointed as Office Assistant and the then Management forwarded the proposal for approval of the appointment of the petitioner on 30.12.2006, but till date no order has been passed. Hence, it would suffice if a direction is issued to the first respondent to pass orders on the proposal submitted by the third respondent society on 30.12.2006 within a reasonable time.

4.The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the request made by the petitioner would be considered.

5.However, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the order of reversion. However considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the first respondent is directed to consider and pass orders on the proposal submitted by the third respondent society on 30.12.2006 on merits and in accordance with law, if no order has been passed so far.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
