O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent to take appropriate action upon the representation dated 06.06.2023 submitted by the petitioner.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is the Secretary of the Association viz., Tamil Nadu Udukkai Pambai Kai-Silambatta Gramiya Kalai Thozhilarlargal Nala Munnetra Sangam and the said Association was duly registered under the Tamil Nadu Registration of Trade Union Act, 1926, in October 2001. Thereafter, the office bearers of the Association have not taken any steps to renew the association. Since the mistake is on the part of the office bearers, the Association is ready and willing to pay penalty for non-renewal. Despite giving repeated representations to the respondent, no response is forthcoming to renew the Association. Left with no other option, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition seeking for the aforesaid relief.

3. Though very many grounds have been raised in the present Writ Petition, it would suffice, if this Court may issue a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.06.2023 and pass appropriate orders, within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.

5. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

6. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.06.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
