The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent Police to conduct further investigation in connection with Crime No.320 of 2020 and to proceed with the case in accordance with law. 1/4

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent.

3. It is submitted by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) that based on the complaint given by the petitioner/de facto complainant, a case in Crime No.320 of 2020 was registered by the respondent Police for the offence under Sections 406 and 420 IPC. After completion of investigation, a charge sheet was filed and the case was taken on file by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ambattur, in C.C.No.585 of 2025.

4. In view of the above submission that the case pertains to cheating and has already been taken up for trial, this Court is of the view that no further investigation is required. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition is closed.
