Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 herein to dispose the representation dated 29.06.2016 within the stipulated period prescribed by this Court.

ORDER

When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner is called absent.

The petitioner claims to be the successor in interest of the land admeasuring to an extent of 14 cents in Survey No.17/6, situate at Vattampakkam Village, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kancheepuram District and according to him, the respondents 8 and 9, in collusion with the respondents 5 to 7, had fabricated the patta, chitta and adangal and in this regard, he had also lodged a complaint on the file of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sriperumbudur, on 07.09.2015 and also submitted a representation dated 29.06.2016 to the respondents 1 to 5 and though the said representation was received and acknowledged, no response is forthcoming and hence, he came forward to file the present writ petition.

This Court heard the submissions of Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 7. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondents 2 and 3 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 29.06.2016 in accordance with law, after putting on notice, the respondents 8 and 9 and pass orders within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the respondents 8 and 9.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
