O R D E R
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the 1st respondent to fix the GLR value for the property comprised in Re-Survey No.231/4 situated in Oulgaret Revenue Village, by considering her representation dated 24.06.2024.
2. According to the petitioner, the immovable property bearing Plot Nos.63 and 64 situated in Re-Survey No.231/4 in Oulgaret Revenue Village admeasuring 2688 sq.ft., originally owned and possessed by one Lalitha, having purchased the same under a registered Sale Deed dated 31.03.1998. The petitioner purchased the said property from Lalitha by Sale Deed dated 25.05.2022. When the Sale Deed was presented for registration before the 2nd respondent, the same was withheld by the 2nd respondent on the ground that the GLR value for the Re-Survey No.231/4 is zero. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 24.06.2024 to the 1st respondent requesting him to fix GLR value for R.S.No.231/4. Till date, the representation of the petitioner has not been considered by the 1st respondent. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court. 2/4
3. Mr.Ramaswamy Meyyappan, learned Government Advocate (Pondicherry) takes notice for the respondents, on instructions, would submit that portion of the land in R.S.No.231/4 is a Government Poramboke earmarked as a Cart Track. Therefore, there is a difficulty in considering the representation of the petitioner positively.
4. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Pondicherry) appearing for the respondents, this Court without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, is inclined to direct the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.06.2024 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunity to the petitioner, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
