Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS to call for the records in D.O.No.54/2016-C2 on the file of the 2nd respondent, quash the order of detention dated 21.11.2016 and direct the production of the Detenu detained in Central Prison - Vellore under section 2 (f) of the Tamil Nadu Act. 14 of 1982 before this Honourable Court and set the Detenu K. Manju @ Manjunathan, Male, Aged 34 Years, Son of Kannayiram at liberty.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.] Challenge is made to the order of detention passed by the second respondent vide Proceedings in D.O.No.54/2016-C2 dated 21.11.2016, whereby the detenu, namely Manju @ Manjunathan S/o Mr.Kannayiram, aged about 34 years, was ordered to be detained https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

under GOONDA as contemplated Section 2(f) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent as against the husband of the petitioner dated 21.11.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. Rt. No.271, HOME, PROHIBITION & EXCISE (XI) DEPARTMENT, dated 20.01.2017 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
