Namasivayam, Hindu, aged about 36 years who is now confined at Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai-66 and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce him before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty. For Petitioner :

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S. NAGAMUTHU,J.,) The petitioner is the detenu herein. According to him, in respect of the case in K.3 Aminjikarai Police Station Cr.No.202/2016 for offences under Sections 341, 294(b), 323, 336, 397 and 506(ii) I.P.C., and other adverse cases, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

detention order dated 13.04.2016 was passed against him by the second respondent. Being aggrieved by the impugned order of detention, the petitioner has come up with this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instruction would submit that the period of detention has already been expired. The said statement is recorded.

3.In view of the above, nothing survives in this Habeas Corpus Petition. Accordingly, the Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
