This Criminal Original Petition is filed to quash the S.C.No.295 of 2022, pending trial for offence under Sections 417, 376, 406, 294(b), 109 & 506(ii) IPC altered to 376, 316, 417, 406, 420, 506(i) & 509 IPC on the ground that for the alleged incident which took place in the year 2014 complaint given belatedly in the year 2019, to take revenge against the petitioner need to be quashed.

Since it is a serious case of rape and cheating and also forcible harassment been prima facie made out, this Court finds that the petitioner has to face the trial and the case cannot be quashed on the ground of delay in filing the complaint. Hence this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, the connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
