This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent herein to not to harass the petitioners.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by one Santhalakshmi against the petitioner, petition enquiry is pending in Current Paper No.50 of 2018 before the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Perambalur.

4. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to appear before the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Perambalur, and participate in the enquiry and at the time of enquiry, the petitioner shall not be harassed. During the course of enquiry, if any cognizable offence is made out, the Inspector of Police is free to register an FIR and this order shall not be a shield for the petitioner against arrest. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
