O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction, to direct the respondent police to file the final report in Special C.C.No. Unnumbered of 2012 in Crime No.32 of 2011 on the file of the learned Special Judicial Magistrate for Land Grabbing case, Salem.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent and perused the materials placed on record.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that investigation in Crime No.32 of 2011 has been completed and final report is also ready. However, on account of stay granted by the Supreme Court in Land Grabbing cases, the police are not able to file the final report before the Special Magistrate (Land Grabbing Cases), Salem.

4. In view of the above, this Court directs the respondent police to file the final report in Crime No.32 of 2011 before the concerned Judicial Magistrate Court in Salem, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
