Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 & 2 to cancel the patta wrongly issued to encroachers and restore the patta for the lands in Old S.No.100/48 in the Temple by passing orders on the representation dated 04.05.2021 given by the petitioner in connection to the same.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 & 2 to cancel the patta wrongly issued to encroachers and restore the patta for the lands in Old S.No.100/48 in the Temple by passing orders on the representation dated 04.05.2021 given by the petitioner in connection to the same.

2. Considering the limited relief sought for in the petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the Writ Petition, the first respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the petitioner's representation dated 04.05.2021 with regard to issuance of patta to the encroachers in respect of the land comprised in old S.No.100/48 admeasuring 0.24.5 hectares situated at New Gummidipoondi, Gummidipoondi Taluk, Tiruvallur District, after issuance of notice to the persons who occupied the said land and after giving opportunity of hearing to them and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
