ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the show cause notice issued under Section 87 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, dated 11.06.2024 on the file of the first respondent.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner was working as Writer in the second respondent Society. While being so, he was suspended from service on 03.11.2023 on certain charges. The petitioner was also served with a charge memo and he is facing enquiry for the disciplinary proceedings. In the meanwhile, the first respondent conducted an enquiry under Section 87 of the Tamil Nadu Co-operative Societies Act, alleging that on field inspection, it was found that there was certain irregularities providing jewel loan between 01.02.2021 to 31.03.2021, thereby caused loss to the tune of Rs.31,00,543/-. Therefore, the enquiry was conducted and

pursuant to the enquiry report under Section 87 of the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Societies Act, the petitioner was served with a show cause notice dated 11.06.2024.

4. Therefore, this Court finds no infirmity or illegality in the show cause notice issued by the first respondent and the writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this writ petition stands dismissed. No costs.
