Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 particularly, the 2nd respondent to issue joint patta in favour of wife, daughters and son of late Venugopal Udayar, viz., [1]Smt Saroja [wife] [2]Kanthamani [3]Padmini [4]Saminathan [5]Valli [6]Vanitha for the property comprised in Survey Nos.34/5-0.34 cents and S.No.34/6D-0.58 cents on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 01.02.2016.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
The petitioner claims patta in respect of the lands admeasuring to an extent of 0.34 cents in S.No.34/5 and 0.58 cents in S.No.34/6D, situate at Kadiyar Village, Thirukovilur Taluk, Villupuram District and since no response is forthcoming to the said application, the petitioner submitted a complaint to the Hon'ble Chief Minister Grievance Cell and they in turn, forwarded the same to the 2nd respondent, who vide communication dated - January 2016 has informed the petitioner that since it is not the patta land of the petitioner and as per the Village Accounts, since the said land is classified as "House site belonging to Adi Dravidar", https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
no patta can be granted to him. The petitioner came forward to file this writ petition praying for issuance of a joint patta in respect of the lands in question.
Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Navaneethan, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. In the light of the communication of the 2nd respondent in Si.Pa.No./42/2016 dated - January 2016 addressed to the Hon'ble Chief Minister Grievance Cell, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. However, the 2nd respondent is directed to inform the said reason to the petitioner by a separate communication within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
