(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.P.V.Balasubramanian, learned Senior Counsel for Mr.S.Arunkungumaraj, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.B.Rabu Manohar, learned counsel for the respondents 1, 3 & 4, Mr.T.T.Ravichandran, learned counsel for the respondents 2 & 7, Mr.A.Edwin Prabhakar, learned State Government Pleader, assisted by Mr.K.Karthik Jegannath, learned Government Advocate for the fifth respondent, Mr.K.Balaji, learned counsel for the sixth respondent, Mr.K.Azhagu Raman, learned counsel for the eight respondent.
2. It is submitted that process for election of the District
Committee is over. Election for the State Committee is scheduled on 25.05.2024.
3. In the light of that, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.Nos.11468, 16448 of 2023 and 21995 of 2019 are closed.
4. The amount of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) deposited by the respondents 6 and 7 shall be remitted to the Tamil Nadu State Legal Services Authority, Chennai. (S.V.G., CJ.) (J.S.N.P., J.) 26.04.2024 Index :
