The present application is filed seeking extension of time to conclude the arbitral proceedings by a period of nine months. The applicant refers to a communication dated 01.10.2021 from the Arbitral Tribunal. By such communication, the parties were directed to take steps to obtain an extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

2. The applicant submits that evidence has been recorded in the proceedings and that the next stage is oral arguments. However, he submits that the dispute is complex and that voluminous documentation is involved. On such basis, a request is made for an extension by nine months. The 1st respondent has no objection to the grant of extension.

3. Upon considering the aforesaid submissions and on taking into account the asserted complexity of the dispute and the stage of the arbitration proceedings, the time for concluding such proceedings by pronouncing an award in respect thereof is extended by a period of nine months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis SENTHILKUMAR RAMAMOORTHY, J.
