ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 2.The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the 3rd respondent to register the Sale Agreement dated 20.05.2025 without insisting on "No Objection Certificate" from the 2nd respondent.
3.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner and one Balavasanth Sampath entered into a Sale Agreement dated 20.05.2025 in respect of a vacant land at Door No.16C, New Door No.30-G, Akbarabad First Street, Kodambakkam, Chennai-600 024 comprised in Old S.No.16, T.S.No.16/17, Block No.38, measuring an extent of 7427 sq.ft. (0.06 ares 90.0 sq.mtr) at Puliyur Village, Egmore Taluk, Chennai District.

4.It is further submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that when the Sale Agreement dated 20.05.2025 was presented before the 3rd respondent for registration, it was refused without even issuing a refusal slip.
5.On this being pointed out, learned Government Advocate would submit that the petitioner may be directed to re-present the Sale Agreement and the same would be considered and registered if it is otherwise in order. If for any reason, there is a need for refusal of registration of the Sale Agreement, they would do so after assigning reason by issuing refusal slip, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
6.In view thereof, the Writ Petition stands disposed of with a direction to the 3rd respondent to register the Sale Agreement if it is otherwise in order. If for any reason, there is a need for refusal of registration of the Sale Agreement, they would do so after assigning reason by issuing refusal slip. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.

7.The above exercise shall be completed within a period of 2 weeks from the date of re-presentation of Sale Agreement dated 20.05.2025.
