ORDER

This Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioners and his family members during the Arulmigu Selliyamman Temple Kappu Kattum Festival at Chinnakandiyankuppam Village, Virudhachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District in view of the order dated 04.03.2026 passed in I.A.No.220 of 2025 in O.S.No.143 of 2025 on the file of the learned I Additional District Munsif, Virudhachalam 2.

Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials placed on record.

It is seen that the petitioner has lodged complaint before the second respondent on 10.05.2025 and the same is still pending without any progress.

In view of the same, the second respondent police is directed to conduct enquiry, on the complaint given by the petitioner after issuing notice to the petitioner and the respondents 3 to 5 and to decide whether to provide police protection or not on or before 16.07.2026. It is made clear that the 2nd respondent is directed to look into the order passed by the civil court while passing orders.
