The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(aaa) r/w 4(1-A) of T.N. Prohibition Act, in Crime No.795 of 2019, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused transported 720 litres of Pondy arrack illegally. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and no way connected with the alleged offence and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner is having 7 previous cases against him. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
