By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus, to direct the first respondent to conduct survey and fix boundaries for the land comprised in S.No.168/18A, measuring an extent of 22 1/2 cents and 11 1/2 cents situated at Periyamampattu Village, Kallakurichi Taluk and District by considering petitioner's online application No.2025/0123/33/007140 dated 28.05.2025 and the representation dated 31.05.2025.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is the owner of the subject property measuring an extent of 22 1/2 cents and remaining extent of 11 1/2 cents belongs to one Manimaran. The petitioner submitted an online application No.2025/0123/33/007140 dated 28.05.2025 before the respondents to carry out survey and fix boundaries in the subject property and has also paid necessary charges. Since the petitioner's online application was not considered by the respondents till date, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

On this being pointed out, the learned Government Advocate would submit that they would consider the petitioner's online application dated 28.05.2025 and carry out a survey and fix boundaries in the subject property and complete the process within a time frame to be fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with the direction to the first respondent to consider petitioner's online application dated 28.05.2025 and carry out a survey and fix boundaries in the subject property and complete the process within a period of 8 weeks from the date of uploading of the web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy, after giving prior notice to the petitioners, adjacent land owners and other interested parties including rival claimants if any. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. There will be no order as to costs.
