O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.05.2022 requesting the first respondent to disconnect the TNEB Service Connection given through the petitioner's patta land and dispose of the same within a time fixed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the second respondent has obtained electricity connection from TNEB showing the petitioner's patta land as his pathway and entrance and the electricity line has been drawn through the petitioner's land and thereby, the petitioner made a representation on 25.05.2022 before the first respondent to disconnect the TNEB Service connection given through his patta land, however, the same has not been considered so far. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit

that it would suffice, if the first respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 25.05.2022, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.

The learned counsel appearing for the first respondent submits that the Assistant Engineer, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, Saidapet, Chennai is the jurisdictional Authority to decide this matter and therefore, this Court may direct the petitioner to make a fresh representation before the Assistant Engineer, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, Saidapet, Chennai, and if any representation is made by the petitioner, the same will be considered in accordance with law.

5. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent and the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent.

6. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel

appearing for the first respondent, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the petitioner to make a fresh representation before the Assistant Engineer, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, Saidapet, Chennai, along with a copy of this order, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the Assistant Engineer, Tamil Nadu Electricity Board, Saidapet, Chennai, is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders as expeditiously as possible.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
