J U D G M E N T

(Judgment of the Court was delivered by K.K.SASIDHARAN,J.) The order passed by the VI Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Chennai directing the appellant to pay maintenance to the respondent is under challenge in this Civil Miscellaneous Appeal.

2. The parties during the currency of the Appeal settled the matter in and by which the appellant has agreed to pay a total amount of Rs.9,00,000/- to the respondent in full and final settlement of the entire claims pending between the parties.

3. We are informed that, pursuant to the agreement, the parties have filed a joint petition for divorce by mutual consent before the Trial Court.

4. The joint Memorandum of Compromise dated 30.09.2019 contains the terms and conditions of the settlement. The said memorandum of compromise is taken on record.

5. The parties are present in Court today. The parties have confirmed the factum of settlement.

6. In view of the settlement arrived among the parties, nothing remains for factual adjudication in this Appeal.

7. The Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed of in terms of the joint memorandum of compromise. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
