The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 05.08.2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 392 and 506(ii) of Indian Penal Code in Crime No.487 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other person came in a two-wheeler, waylaid and abused the defacto complainant in filthy language and also snatched a sum of Rs. 5,270/- from him and also threatened with dire consequences. Hence, the case.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that, apart from this case, there is no previous case pending against the petitioner. However, he opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

5. Considering the gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner, which is serious and heinous as against the society and also considering that the petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody only on 05.08.2022, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
