When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the representations of the petitioner dated 08.04.2026 and 04.05.2026 were considered and rejected. In support of his submission, he produced a communication from the Tahsildar, Edappadi, in Na.Ka. No. 1476/2026/E, dated 23.06.2026.

3. In view of the subsequent development, this Writ Petition is closed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to challenge the said rejection order, if so advised, in the manner known to law. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
