O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection to the petitioner based on her representation dated 26.07.2018. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 3.

3.It is the case of the petitioner that she got married to Annadurai in the year 2000 and their marriage broke. In this regard, the petitioner has initiated divorce proceedings in HMOP.No.252 of 2017 against her husband and the same is pending on the file of the Sub Court, Poonamallee. While so, it is alleged by the petitioner that her husband and in-laws are frequently harassing and threatening her. Therefore, the petitioner has given a representation dated 26.07.2018 and has filed the present petition seeking police protection. 4.In view of the above, this Court directs the petitioner to go in person and lodge a complaint to the jurisdictional Police, as and when there is any threat or intimidation to her from her husband or relatives and on such petition being given, the Police shall enquire into it by calling both the parties and ensure that no harm befalls the petitioner.
