ORDER

By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Since no adverse order is passed against the private respondent, notice to the private respondent is dispensed with.

2. This writ petition has been filed for a direction, directing the respondent 2nd respondent to take further necessary action pursuant to the

proceedings issued by the 2nd respondent bearing Na.Ka.No. A7/ 5731/ 2025 dated 28.01.2026 under Maintenance and Welfare of Senior Citizens Act 2007.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is senior citizen aged about 80 years, out of love and affected settled his property in favour of husband of third respondent/grandson. On 22.06.2022, he died and none left to look after the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner filed petition under Section 23(1) of the Maintenance and Welfare of Senior Citizens Act, 2007 before the first respondent which is pending without consideration till date. Hence, this writ petition.

4. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court without going into the merits of the case directs the second respondent to conclude the proceedings dated 28.01.2026 in Na.Ka.No.A7/5731/2025 after providing opportunity of hearing to the concerned and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

6. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs. 23-06-2026
