RESPONDENTS Prayer: This writ petition came to be numbered under Article 226 of the Constitution of India by way of transfer of Original Application in O.A.No.5304 of 2001, to call for the record in pursuant to G.O.Ms.548 P&AR (PER J) Department dated 19.6.87 passed by the 2nd respondent and quash clause 10 of the said G.O to call for the records in pursuant to the provisional state seniority list of assistant published by the 3rd respondent in R.C.No. 27084/NGB 6(1) /2000 dated 11.2. 2000 and quash the same so far as the petitioner is concerned and refix his seniority based on his initial date of appointment as junior assistant i.e. on 26.7.1982 by regularising his services and to direct the respondents to grant retrospective promotion to the post of Superintendent on par with his immediate junior with monetary and other attendant benefits.

2. Mr.S.M.Subramanian, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner furnished the duplicate typed set of documents and on instructions, would submit that nothing survives for adjudication as the matter has become infructuous and also made an endorsement to that effect.

3. Recording the above, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
