ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in Crime No.135 of 2018 registered by the respondent / police for the offence punishable under Sections 364, 147, 148, 302 I.P.C r/w Section 3(10 of Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the one Mr.Ayyappan @ Devanathan, S/o. Chinnathambi of Vaadaku Melur Village, Cuddalore District was kidnapped and murdered by one Mr.Manivarma; there was a long pending amount due, therefore, Vicky who has approached the deceased to get back the money and he was involved in 5 previous cases and in turn, the deceased intimidated Manivannan to pay the money.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that some of the accused have been granted bail.

4. After hearing the learned Additional Public Prosecutor (crl.side) and taking note of the overtact attributed and also taking note of the fact the deceased had five previous cases against him, I am of the view that granting bail at this stage would affect the further progress of the case.

5. Considering the progress in the investigation and nature of the gravity of the case, I am not inclined to entertain this petition at this stage.

6. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed.
