O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 10.02.2024 and to take a decision on the request made by the petitioner for being appointed as Office Assistant/Sanitary Worker in accordance with the rules. 2.Heard Ms.N.S.Keerthitha, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.K.Surenderan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3.The case of the petitioner is that he has joined the 2nd respondent Law College as Sanitary Worker on 01.12.2019 on daily wages. The petitioner has been continuously working from then. The petitioner sought for appointment to the post of Office Assistant in the 2nd respondent College. The representation made by the petitioner in this regard was placed before the 1st respondent and the 1st respondent through the communication dated 22.05.2024 has directed the 2nd respondent to deal with the same. 4.The grievance of the petitioner is that the representation made by the petitioner and the communication made by the 1st respondent to the 2nd respondent did not evoke any response. Therefore, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court 2/4

seeking for appropriate directions.

5.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 2nd respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 10.02.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law and take a decision, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6.The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the 2nd respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order. 7.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
