PRAYER : This Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 04.03.2020 to correct the error in the revenue records and issue patta for the property bearing Plot No.46, Sri Ranganatha Nagar Layout, in Survey No.382/1, Selaiyur Village, Saidapet Taluk, Chengalpattu District and pass appropriate orders accordingly.

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representations dated 04.03.2020 to correct the error in the revenue records and issue patta for the property bearing Plot No.46, Sri Ranganatha Nagar Layout, in Survey No.382/1, Selaiyur
Village, Saidapet Taluk, Chengalpattu District and pass appropriate orders accordingly.
2. Heard Mr.T.N. RajaGopalan, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Yogesh Kannadasan, the learned Government Advocate for the respondents as well as perused the material available on records.
3. Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case and submissions of the learned counsel for both sides, it is seen that the petitioner seeks to issue Patta for the aforesaid property belonged to the petitioner which have been wrongly shown as Road in stead of lands in the revenue records. The petitioner has made representation dated 04.03.2020 to the 1st respondent to modify the error crept in the revenue records since 4th respondent could not issue Patta in favour of the petitioner without correcting the said error. Despite several occasions, the petitioner approached the Official of the respondents, they have not taken any action and passed any orders on her representation dated 04.03.2020 so far. Hence, this Court without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, directs the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.03.2020 and pass appropriate orders on it within a period of Sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order after affording sufficient opportunity to the petitioner herein.
4. With the aforesaid directions, the Writ petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed if any. There shall be no order as to costs. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(CS-VII) // True Copy // Sub Assistant Registrar Lbm To:
