The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondent to consider his representation dated 29.05.2024 seeking rectification of revenue records and issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner.
2. According to the petitioner, he is the owner of the land comprised in S.No.160/1E with an extent of 0.42.0 hectares and he has been in possession and enjoyment of the same ever since the date of purchase in the year 2008. It is further stated by the petitioner that at the time of UDR Scheme, the official respondents erroneously sub-divided the survey Nos.160/1E into 160/1E1 and 160/1E2 and the land measuring an extent of 0.6.88 hectares in S.No.160/1E2 was wrongly mutated in the name of the third respondent. 2/5
3. Immediately after acquiring knowledge about the said erroneous entries in the revenue records, the petitioner submitted a representation on 29.05.2024 seeking rectification of the revenue records and the same was not considered. Hence, the petitioner filed the present petition.
4. In view of the assertion made by the petitioner in the affidavit that at the time of sub-division of revenue records, patta was erroneously issued to the third respondent, the representation of the petitioner shall be considered by the official respondents, after issuing notice to the third respondent.
5. In view of the same, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 29.05.2024 and dispose of the same on merits after giving sufficient opportunity to the third respondent preferably within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
