By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2.The petitioner had submitted a representation dated 21.06.2016 to the respondent stating among other things that one Mani son of Ramasamy residing at Door No.10, Narasimha Naidu Street, Vellore Road, Thiruchengode Town for the purpose of renewal of his passport no.H0153877 has produced a conduct certificate said to have been given by the petitioner and according to him, he has never given such a certificate and it is a ranked forgery and the said fact was also disclosed by him at the time of cross-examination in I.P.No.7 of 2011 pending on the file of the Sub-Court, Thiruchengode and therefore prays for appropriate direction for cancellation/ revocation of the passport and though it was received and acknowledged, no response is forthcoming and hence, came forward to file this writ petition.
3.Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.Simon, learned Central Government Standing Counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent. 4.This Court taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the
petitioner's representation dated 21.06.2016, in accordance with law, after putting on notice, Thiru.Mani son of Thiru.Ramasamy residing at Door No.10, Narasimha Naidu Street, Vellore Road, Thiruchengode Town, Namakkal District and pass orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to Thiru.Mani.
