(Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN,J) The petitioner is the wife of Neelakandan, S/o.Krishnasamy, aged about 74 years. The said Neelakandan (hereinafter referred to as the "detenu") was found missing, from 29.03.2015 onwards. In this regard, the petitioner had lodged a complaint to the 1st respondent, on 01.04.2015. However, no steps have been taken by the 1st respondent to trace the detenu. Hence, the petitioner has preferred this Habeas Corpus Petition praying that this Court may be pleased to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the body of the petitioner's husband, by name, Neelakandan, S/o.Krishnasamy, aged about 74 years, before this Court, and to handover him to the custody of the petitioner.
2. At this stage of hearing of the Habeas Corpus Petition, Mr.V.M.R.Rajentren, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2, had placed before this Court a copy of the letter said to have been written by the petitioner, dated 14.02.2016, requesting for the withdrawal of the complaint lodged by her on 01.04.2015. In such circumstances, we find that no further orders are necessary in this petition. Hence, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
