Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to take appropriate steps to close TASMAC Shop No.205 which is functioning on the Erukkancheri Highway, Vyasarpadi, Chennai by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 10.06.2024 within a reasonable time.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondents to take action on his representation dated 10.06.2024 for closing the TASMAC Shop No.205 at Erukkencheri Highway.

2. According to the petitioner, no action has been taken on his representation made to the respondents for closing down the TASMAC shop in question.

3. Mr.K.Sathish Kumar, learned Standing Counsel, takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 and Mr.M.Habeeb Rahman, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the fourth respondent.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the fourth respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 10.06.2024 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, preferably within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
