ORDER

The writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to disburse all terminal benefits to the petitioner, as per the authorisation for final settlement dated 30.12.2024 issued by the Assistant Director (Pensions) along with eligible interest, within a time frame to be specified by this Court by considering the petitioner's representations dated 31.07.2024 and 04.06.2025.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner served as a Postgraduate Assistant in the 4 th respondent School and retired from Page No.2 of 6

service on 31.05.2025. According to the petitioner counsel, the Additional Director (Pensions), Commissionerate of Treasuries and Accounts, Pension and CPS Wing, has already forwarded a letter to the 4 th respondent, directing them to process the authorised pension papers. However, the 4 th respondent is withholding the authorisation of pension papers by citing the pendency of suit filed by the petitioner's wife and daughter in O.S.No.78 of 2023 before the Family Court at Madurai. In this connection, the petitioner has sent representations on 31.07.2024 and 04.06.2025 and such representations are yet to be considered by the respondents.

3. At this juncture, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents would fairly submit that they will consider the petitioner's representation and pass final order within reasonable time.

4. In such view of the matter, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 04.06.2025 and pass orders within a period of Page No.3 of 6

six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, based on its own merits and in accordance with law.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
