This petition is filed under Section 5 of the Limitation Act, to condone the delay of 89 days in preferring the Criminal Appeal against the Judgment dated 08.02.2023 in Special Sessions Case No.81 of 2019 pending on the file of the learned Special Judge at Puducherry.

2. Mr.K.S.Mohandoss, learned Public Prosecutor (Pondicherry) Assisted by Mr.N.Danalatchumy, appearing for the respondent did not raise any serious objection and this Court is satisfied with the reasons assigned in the affidavit filed in support of this petition. Hence, the petition is allowed.

3. Registry is directed to number the Criminal Appeal, if it is in order, and list the matter for admission.
