Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus to direct the respondents to produce the body and person of Mr.T.Lingeshwara Thilagan, aged about 50 years before this Court and set him at liberty.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by S.VAIDYANATHAN, J.) Seeking a direction to the respondents to produce the detenu T.Lingeshwara Thilagan, aged about 50 years, before this Court and set him at liberty, the wife of the detenu has come up with this habeas corpus petition.
2.Heard the learned senior counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner as well as the learned Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

Prosecutor submitted that three cases have been registered against the detenu. He has further submitted that the detenu was arrested and subsequently enlarged on bail at 9.30 a.m. today (29.12.2016).
4.In view of the above submission made by the learned Public Prosecutor, this Court is of the view that there cannot be any illegal custody of the detenu. Therefore, this habeas corpus petition is dismissed as not maintainable.
