ANAND VENKATESH CRIMINAL MISCELLANEOUS PETITION No.11971 of 2021 IN CRL OP.16695/2020 THE STATE REP BY [ PETITIONER/RESPONDENT ] THE INSPECTOR OF POLICE, CENTRAL CRIME BRANCH, CHENNAI CRIME NO.68/2019 Vs K.SEKAR [ RESPONDENT/PETITIONER ] Petition praying that in the circumstances stated therein and in the affidavit filed therewith the High Court will be pleased to extend the time granted in central Crime Branch, Forgery investigation Wing, Cr.No.68/2019, U/S.420,465,467,468,471 IPC and also to comply the direction of this Hon'ble Court passed in Crl.O.P.No.16695 of 2020 dated 04/01/2021 and thus render justice.

Order : This petition coming on for orders upon perusing the petition and the filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of M/S.L.A.J.SELVAM, Government Advocate for the Petitioner the court made the following order:- This petition has been filed seeking for extension of time to complete the investigation and to file a Final Report. 2.This Court carefully went through the affidavit filed in support of the petition and considered the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side).

3.It is brought to the notice of this Court that the investigation was taken over by the new Investigation Officer only on 23.08.2021. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) further submitted that the signature has to be sent for expert opinion and hence, some time is required for completion of the investigation. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.Taking into consideration the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), the time granted by this Court for the completion of investigation is extended for a further period of three months from today. The Investigation Officer shall complete the investigation and file the Final Report before the jurisdictional Court within the time stipulated by this Court. 5.This petition is disposed of accordingly.
