O R D E R

The petitioner in this Writ Petition has challenged the proceedings passed by the first respondent in Na.Ka.No.317/2012/A1 dated 27.09.2012.

2. Heard Mr.S.Kumara Devan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.

3. Relying upon a judgment of this Court dated 04.04.2013 in W.P.(MD).No.139 of 2013, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the issue as to whether the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

District Collector has the right to take away the cheque signing powers of Vice President has come to a conclusion that the District Collector has no such powers under Section 203 of the Panchayat Act.

4. The learned counsel for petitioner would also submit that the petitioner is no longer the Vice-President of the Panchayat Union. As such nothing survives for adjudication in view of the present position that the petitioner is no longer holding the post of Vice-President.

5. With the above observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
