The prayer of the writ petition is to direct the statutory respondents 1 to 3 from permitting the user of the land in Survey No.27/1 and 28/2 of Chinampalayam Village as a burial ground.

2. The petitioner apprehending that the fourth respondent likely to sell the land to the third parties

which may be used as a burial ground has filed this Writ Petition.

3. This Court directed the respondents to ascertain the facts. Pursuant to that, the third respondent-Block Development Officer of Pollachi has conducted an enquiry and found that the fourth respondent has no intention to sell his property, more so, for converting it into a burial ground. Accordingly, the Block Development Officer has submitted a note to the Government Advocate. The third respondent-Block Development Officer, Pollachi has submitted a letter of the fourth respondent as well as the petitioner dated 19.08.2019, which is also enclosed along with the office note before this Court.

4. Since the apprehension expressed by the petitioner is unfounded, nothing survives in this Writ Petition. Hence, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected W.M.P is closed.
