O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent police not to harass the petitioners under the guise of enquiry.

2.Heard Mr.Arumugam, learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3.In the opinion of this Court, an omnibus direction as prayed for by the petitioner cannot be granted. However, Mr.Arumugam submitted that on the complaint of one Venkatesan, a petition enquiry is pending.

4.In such view of the matter, the respondents 1 and 2 are directed not to harass the petitioners, unless the complaint discloses commission of cognizable offence or the presence of the petitioners for preliminary enquiry is essential.
