ORDER

The Writ Petition challenges the order passed by the First Respondent dated 08.12.2003 in which the permit of the Petitioner with respect to contract Carriage Motor Cab (Arjun 500) bearing Registration No.TN 328 6594 in P.C.No.13/TN32/VPM/2003 from 25.03.2003 to 24.03.3008 was suspended under Section 86(1) of the Motor Vehicles Act 1988 and it was left open to the Petitioner to compound the same if he was willing.

No representation for the Petitioner during the earlier hearings on 20.06.2018 and 29.06.2018 as well as today. 3.

Mr.K.S. Suresh, learned Government Advocate submits that the permit issued to the Petitioner itself has lapsed without renewal on 24.03.2008 and a fresh renewal permit was issued for that vehicle to the Petitioner by Proceedings in P.C.No.2121/TN32/CC/2008 from 05.11.2008 to 04.11.2013 by the Second Respondent and subsequently the permit was transferred from the name of the Petitioner to the name of one K. Kumar with effect from 12.07.2011

vide Proceedings in R.No.B3/27809/2011 and thereafter to one J. Saravanan with effect from 18.06.2012 vide Proceedings in R.No.C1/30452/2012 and that in view of the subsequent transfer of permit on the changes in the ownership of the vehicle, nothing survives for adjudication in the Writ Petition. 4.
