ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The present writ petition has been filed praying for a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for records of 2nd respondent in his proceedings bearing file No.
TR5076014495825, Letter Ref.No.SCN/1052742590/25 dated 15.12.2025 and quash the same and consequently direct 2nd respondent to renew the passport of the petitioner herein, applied for bearing application reference number 25-1052721053, forthwith.
3. This Court finds that the Writ Petition itself is misconceived inasmuch as the impugned proceedings dated 15.12.2025 merely call upon petitioner to furnish the documents, which petitioner had apparently chosen not to produce until then. Learned counsel for petitioner would submit that if petitioner would be provided with an opportunity, he will furnish the requisite documents.
4. Learned counsel appearing for respondents would submit that petitioner's request would be considered, provided petitioner furnishes documents required by respondent authority. He would further submit that once these documents are submitted, petitioner's request would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed after issuing notice to petitioner, within a time period to be stipulated by this Court. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.
5.. While agreeing with the above submission of the respondents, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, it is open to the petitioner to submit documents required by the respondent Authority and shall appear before the second respondent on 08.07.2026 at 11 a.m. If any such documents are
submitted by petitioner, the same shall be considered by the appropriate respondent, on its own merits and orders shall be passed in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to petitioner and any other interested persons, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of such on-line application. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the case on its own merits and in accordance with law.
6. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. 23-06-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order jv
