PRAYER:

Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to remove offensive materials from the 2nd respondent web-site touching the petitioner's fidelity in the subject matter of Crime No.2 of 2018 dated 10.01.2018 on the file of the 1st respondent as claimed by the petitioner in the petition dated 18.06.2019 acknowledged on 25.06.2019 in Ref.No.BRS 19057906 in a time bound period and for other reliefs.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the first respondent to dispose of the representation dated 18.06.2019 and to take action in accordance with law.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that there is an illegal uploading of the petitioner's photographs and news items in various sites maintained by the 2nd respondent. The petitioner wants all these uploaded information to be removed https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

from the sites. The petitioner, therefore made a representation to the first respondent in that regard since the second respondent will be able to remove the uploaded information only if the first respondent gives a direction to that effect.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the 1st respondent.

4. Taking into consideration the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation dated 18.06.2019 made by the petitioner and to take action on the same in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No cost.
