praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to appoint a committee as per the prevailing law and pass appropriate GOs' for the purpose of fixing proper rent for the petitioners Shop Nos.32, 72, 63, 2, 66, 86, 39, 57, 48 and 62 situated at M.P.Sarathy Maligai Shops Center, Vellore which were leased out to the petitioners herein by the 3rd respondent as per the orders passed by this Honourable Court dated 22.07.2020 passed in writ petitions filed by similarly placed writ petitioners in W.P.24565 and 24566 of 2017. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondents to appoint a committee as per the prevailing law and pass appropriate GOs' for the purpose of fixing proper rent for the petitioners Shop Nos.32, 72, 63, 2, 66, 86, 39, 57, 48 and 62 situated at M.P.Sarathy Maligai Shops Center, Vellore which were leased out to the petitioners herein by the 3rd respondent as per the orders passed by this Honourable Court dated 22.07.2020 passed in writ petitions filed by similarly placed writ petitioners in W.P.24565 and 24566 of 2017.

2. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

3. On instructions, the learned counsel for the third respondent submitted that as prayed by the petitioner, already a special committee was constituted consisting of Deputy Commissioner as President, Assistant Commissioner as Convener, Executive Engineer, Assistant Commissioner, Assistant Engineers, Revenue Officers, Assistant Revenue Officers and President, Vellore district, Tamil Nadu Merchants Federation, in order to redressal, in respect of the rent and other issues between the lessors of the shops. Therefore, the petitioners are directed to approach the specially constituted Committee for their grievance such as fixing the rent for their respective shops. On receipt of the said request, the special committee constituted by the third respondent is directed to consider their request and resolve the same in accordance with law.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
